How To Install WordPress On 1and1 Host?

I have detail discussed regarding the various hosting plan of 1and1 host in my other posts. So in this blog post, I will not cover the details about 1and1. But a little information I will tell you because it’s very important for every newbie who is taking a decision to purchase a hosting for his/her domain.

I know you have come here for knowing about how to install WordPress on 1and1 host. That means you are already a lucky member. Because It’s a type of host that is very fastest hosting provider for WordPress Blog.

But I would like to tell you if you are not a member of 1&1, you are not a lucky person. So hurry up! And be a member of 1and1.

You can ask me why am I saying to join in this network. Because 1and1 is a Hosting company where you will get a low-cost WordPress hosting plan at only $11.88/year, whereas others hosting company’s plans are very high like HostGator, Bluehost, iPage etc.

However, now let’s start how to install WordPress on 1and1 host.

How To Install WordPress

Two ways (manual and App center)  you can install WordPress on 1&1 host. But in this tutorial, I will only share how can you install WordPress through 1and1 App center.

So let’s start step by step tips…

Step:1

Fist of all you have to login 1&1 with your registered email or customer ID and password.

Step:2

After that click on the ‘Contact Overview’ which located left sidebar of the control panel.

But If you have a single contact or website hosting package, you can directly click on ‘1&1 App Center

Step:3

Select WordPress application then click Install Application.

Step:4

Now you have to type your website title in the create website title box

After that click ‘create website’ blue button.

Step:5

After creating website name, you have to enter your WordPress site login username and password see (A, B). So put a username and strong password for better security.

Tik the  Terms and Conditions link round box (C) and finally click the ‘Continue’ button.

Step:6

After completing the step number 6 you will see two options to install WordPress in your 1and1 host. Now you have to decide which WordPress installation mode you want to choose.

Tips: If you want to install many themes or plugins on your WordPress site, you have to choose the WordPress standard mode, whereas your Theme and plugins installation will be limited to manage mode. I recommended to you choose a standard mode.
So choose your Installation mode and click ‘Install WordPress’

Step:7

Now you have to select a domain from your 1&1 package. After that click ‘Assign Domain’ button.

Step:8

After clicking Assign Domain you will see a new interface. Now wait a few seconds for completing WordPress setup on your 1and1 host.

After finishing the installation you will see the interface below.

Now your installation process is complete. And your website is ready for use.

Bonus Tips:

If you want to login WordParess, you can click on the ‘admin area’s link’ (see the above screenshot) or type URL www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin in the browser tab.

After that,  put your WordPress username and password which you have entered the step number 5.

Last Word:

Manual and App center both ways you can install WordPress on 1&1 host. But the App center process is better than a manual process. So before installing WordPress, you should decide which process you like. But I highly recommend you to  use App center.
